Compassion International
"In response to the Great Commission, Compassion International exists as an advocate for children, to release them from their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults." ~ Compassion International
The children of Christ Covenant Reformed Fellowship sponsor a child. Many of the families within our fellowship also sponsor one or more children. We encourage anyone with the desire to help the most defenseless and needy, to talk with us about the program offered thru Compassion International or to contact Compassion International directly. There are many children who need YOU, and your support.
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly: defend the rights of the poor and needy." ~ Proverbs 31:8-9
Voice of the Martyrs
To encourage and empower Christians to fulfill the Great Commission in areas of the world where they are persecuted for their involvement in propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ. ~ VOM
Christ Covenant Reformed Fellowship sponsors a Pastor in need thru the Voice of the Martyrs program in an effort to spread the word of Christ to all who wish to learn and grow in our Lord.
Remember those are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.
~ Hebrews 13:3
Acts 29 Missionaries
What's in a name
A lot actually! When most people hear the name Acts 29, they grab their Bibles and open up to the book of Acts expecting to find an exciting story about God’s work in chapter 29. Most are surprised when they find that Acts chapter 29 doesn’t exist in print. If people want to know what Acts 29 is all about they would have to pack their bags and travel to the heart of Detroit to a tiny two square mile city called Hamtramck. Here in the city Acts 29 exists not in print, but instead it exists in the real faces and lives of those of us that strive to live out the calling and commission of Jesus to be his hands and his feet to the people around us.
“And my God will provide all of your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus…” Philippians 4:19
The Vision
We aim for radical transformation.
That's because the Bible promises, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" And we believe that "anyone" includes prisoners.
We've seen the "worst of the worst" make a complete turnaround through the power of Jesus Christ. Some may scoff, but "with God all things are possible," Jesus declared.
We're committed to the journey.
Radical, lasting change seldom takes place overnight. More often, it's an accumulation of steps—usually forward, but sometimes back, as we run into difficult terrain and roadblocks along the way.
The question is: What do you believe?
Prison Fellowship walks with prisoners through the different stages of their journey. We start with them inside prison, as they learn new values based on the life and teaching of Christ and how to apply them. We continue with them through the critical transition to the outside, helping them through obstacles and daunting temptations. So even if they stumble, it doesn't mean defeat.
We also help prisoners and their families rejoin their journeys, staying connected during incarceration, adjusting well when prisoners return home.
